Christmas eve we have the most fun tradition (at least we think it is the most fun - we had followers that totally DOGGED us this year! ;o) It could not have been the fact that it was snowing HARD!!!) But... each Christmas eve before we have dinner, we go sledding! It is usually super fun for everyone, but as you can read from our "Pink Christmas" Jack was not so much in the mood! We all bundled up, picked up Jack's medicine and headed to the park for a little sledding. Jack lasted about 15-20 minutes and was in meltdown mode, so Marin and Darren stayed out and slid down the hill and had snowball fights for another 30-40 minutes! I enjoyed watching them playing and having fun from the warmth of the car... (have to admit I would rather be out in the snow playing!)After our outing, we went home and had our traditional clam chowder and read "T'was the NIght Before Christmas" and the Christmas story from the book of Luke. We had a relaxing evening and enjoyed one anothers company AND the beautiful snow storm we received!

Your Christmas Eve tradition sounds like fun. I know Aidan would love it. He loves going sledding. And to do it in the evening..what fun. Sounds like you had a great Christmas.
