4th of July

We had a great Independance Day weekend! My brother Erik and his family came for a visit because his son Kole had a baseball tournament all weekend. Also, we were excited to have my nephew Josh (Natalie's son) join us for the weekend! We spent most of the time traveling to Park City for games and loved every minute of watching baseball and being outside. On the morning of the 4th Darren and I took the kids to neighborhood bike parade and decorated Jack's bike for the event. Jack had fun - but was a little frightened by the police car's siren! The little parade is a great tradition for us - it gives the kids a chance to decorate up their bikes and they always have a flag raising ceremony with the National Anthem and the pledge of allegience. It always makes me emotional and appreciate the freedoms we have when I see our flag raising and hear our national anthem!
We also had a great BBQ that night after returning from games all day, our friend Becky joined us for our BBQ and firework celebration! We really spent some fun times together. Erik is a ROCK STAR and the rest of us are "back up"! It was so fun to watch Darren and Erik rock out with Kole and Josh!! Darren was so excited to get Erik here to rock out with him but couldn't stop laughing long enough to participate in the band! It was great!

We really enjoy our family visits AND especially love it when we get to spend time with family over the holidays!!
